Cornwall featured in a new TV show

The welsh TV channel S4C will this week feature Cornwall in its holiday show Tocyn, as part of the series focus on what great value holidays can be had in the Celtic nations and regions.

The programme airs this Wednesday 27th Jan on S4C at 8.25pm and will be visiting top Cornwall attractions including the UK’s surf capital Newquay, the world famous Eden Project and smaller attractions such as the Cornish Camel Centre.

Taxi rank scrapped at Newquay Airport

In an attempt to increase awareness, Newquay airport, Newquay Airport has decided to scrap the airport taxi rank and award an exclusive contract to a single taxi company to operate on the premises.

The change in policy will eliminate competition between local taxi’s an inevitably result in significant increases in prices for airport users.

Travellers using the airport can save money by pre-booking local axis who will still be able to pick up and drop off customers who book in advance.
